I never got the chance to share all these beautiful experiences because I received my captured memories while my mom was in critical care, fighting for her life. We spoke about this trip while she came to visit, made sure I landed safely in San Jose and needed all updates about my daily activities as it was a solo trip. Overall, she wanted me to have a good time and also be cautious. I visited her in the state shortly after my trip, and couldn’t wait to share my professionally captured pictures with her. Unfortunately, life had other plans. She was the person who always wanted pictures and got jealous if I sent them to my Dad first lol. Anyways…
Nestled along the beautiful Pacific coast, Uvita, Costa Rica, offers a perfect blend of lush jungles, stunning beaches, and incredible wildlife. My day started with a delicious breakfast at the gorgeous Oxygen Jungle Villas, perched atop a mountain and surrounded by dense tropical foliage. The panoramic views and the serene jungle vibe set the perfect tone for a day of adventure and relaxation.
Morning: Journey to Manuel Antonio National Park
After breakfast, I was picked up by Nice and Easy Transportation, a well-known and highly respected transportation company in Costa Rica. Their professional service and comfortable vehicles made the journey to Manuel Antonio National Park a breeze. As we drove through winding roads with breathtaking views, I couldn’t help but feel excited about the day ahead.
Upon arriving at Manuel Antonio National Park, our guide welcomed us with a warm smile. We embarked on a guided tour through the park’s trails, learning about the rich biodiversity that Uvita and Costa Rica are famous for. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, pointing out various plants, insects, and animals, and sharing fascinating facts about each species.
Wildlife Wonders
Manuel Antonio National Park is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. As we ventured deeper into the park, we encountered playful white-faced capuchin monkeys swinging through the trees, colorful toucans with their iconic beaks, and elusive sloths lazily hanging from branches. The highlight of the tour was spotting a family of howler monkeys, their calls echoing through the forest, creating an unforgettable auditory experience.
Our guide also introduced us to several reptiles and amphibians, including vibrant tree frogs and camouflaged iguanas. The park’s diverse ecosystem was a testament to Costa Rica’s commitment to conservation and sustainability. Each step through the jungle felt like a step back in time, where nature thrives in its purest form.
Afternoon: Beach Bliss and Capturing Memories
After our invigorating tour, we made our way to one of Manuel Antonio’s pristine beaches. The soft white sand and crystal-clear waters invited us to relax and soak up the sun. The beach was a perfect spot for a refreshing swim and a bit of beachcombing. I had such a fun photoshoot with Dalia from Aguaecoco Photography, she was full of life, funny and very professional. If you plan to capture your moments while in Costa Rica, feel free to check her out on Instagram.
Evening: Reflections and Relaxation
As the day drew to a close, we made our way back to Oxygen Jungle Villas, reflecting on the incredible experiences I had. The villa’s infinity pool and cozy loungers provided the ideal setting to unwind and watch the sunset over the jungle canopy.
Savoring a delicious dinner that they brought right to my room, but I had the option to eat at the villa’s restaurant, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the day’s adventures. The combination of exploring one of Costa Rica’s most famous national parks, encountering amazing wildlife, and capturing beautiful memories on the beach made this day truly unforgettable.
Final Thoughts
A day in Uvita, Costa Rica is a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and natural beauty.
